Léon Louis Parent was born in the North in Armentières on June 2, 1869.
Still listed as a student of Jean Léon Gérôme in the booklet of the Toulouse Salon of 1910, Léon Parent exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1906; at the Salon d’Automne from 1910; at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts from 1919; at the Tuileries from 1925 and at the Art Français Indépendant from 1929.
He was also present at the Moos and Briant galleries between 1923 and 1928 and at the Georges Petit gallery for an exhibition held from June 1 to 15, 1929. Léon Parent is also mentioned as the author of decorative panels in Ore (Haute-Garonne).
The artist died in Aulnay-sous-Bois in 1943.
