The well-known story of Genesis 39:7-20 depicts the son of Jacob, in the service of Potiphar, minister of Pharaoh, desired by his wife, while here he escapes her. According to the biblical text, the woman holds tightly to the edge of his cloak, with which she will later claim to have been seduced by Joseph.
