Round Chinese porcelain dish with polychrome and gold “à la tonnelle” (or Arbour) decoration in famille rose enamels after an engraving by Cornélis Pronk, inspired by the “Cholem pavilion”, depicting in the center a young woman seated under an arbour, her servants and children in front of a pond in which three ducks are swimming. The wing is decorated with twelve medallions in reserve with butterflies, flowers and fruit on a green grid background and shells in iron red. The reverse is decorated with a red festoon.
Qianlong period (1736-1795), circa 1740. 18th century.
Diameter: 26.2 cm.
