Pair of high-relief medallions biscuit, late 1çth century

Rare pair of high-relief medallions representing "The Merchant of Love" and "The Bee Sting" forming pendants, produced around 1870 by the Bing&Grondall Manufacture. They are listed in the catalog "Biscuit efter Thorvaldsen", Bredo Grandjean, Thorvaldsen's Muséum, 1978
The subjects are made from the original marbles sculpted by Bertil Thorvaldsen in Rome in 1809 and 1831 (No 84 and 110)
The medallions are massive and heavy , the relief is powerful.
