A Medieval silver gilt and niello ring set with dragon heads.

The band of the ring takes the form of two dragons clasping within their mouths a raised bezel decorated with a niello cross. The reverse of the band is engraved with ‘A V E M A’ which is an abbreviated form of ‘Ave Maria’

Historic repair to the reverse of the shank.
