Great runner bird of New Guinea, it weighs up to 75 kg ,its legs are large and powerful and terminated by three fingers.The inner finger bears a claw of 12 cm long as dangerous as a dagger,.It is considered the most dangerous bird in the world, capable of jumping in the air and fatally wounding its opponent with a single stroke of his paw.Cassowaries are flightless birds of the genus Casuarius in the order Casuariiformes. They are classified as ratites: flightless birds without a keel on their sternum bones. Cassowaries are native to the tropical forests of New Guinea, the Aru Islands, and northeastern Australia.
