On the bed of a river, next to a bend formed between two small waterfalls, two characters, seated next to the large trunk of a tree, converse with each other.
The architecture of a small village and the luxuriant vegetation are the background to the composition.
Note the two wayfarers who, on a distant road, leave the village.
