Louis XVI Dressing Table circa 1780

Louis XVI inlaid dressing table attributed to Jean-François Hache around 1780.
On cherry wood, the decor receives a marquetry of geometric patterns playing on the colorful contrasts of the wood species used: ovals inlaid with elm burl surrounded by fillets of rosewood, spandrels in sycamore wood, central medallion also in burl elm surrounded by a walnut wood frieze. These motifs are framed with black ebony wood fillets.
The top reveals a mercury mirror on its reverse side, while the two side parts reveal a box.
On the front, a leather-trimmed writing puller tops the central drawer.
The small side drawer, whose bottom has been changed, must have originally received the very special label found on the works of J. F Hache.
The lines are straight, whether it is the belt or the fluted feet typical of Jean-François Hache due to the fact that there is only one per side.
