Buffet In Copper, Charles X Period Circa 1830

This piece of furniture is absolutely unique. It embodies a classic Charles X half-wardrobe, crafted in copper with masterful quality. The surface is decorated with bronze applications. The body construction is made of iron and iron sheet over which the copper outer skin extends. The finishing of the details, particularly the curved side pilasters, was done by a genius who mastered copper to perfection. On the side there is a safe-style door that closes an inserted compartment. This unique piece of furniture, which clearly dates from the time of Charles one of the many models of this furniture generally made of mahogany. We believe that it is a museum testimony to French craftsmanship from the first half of the 19th century.
