Self-taught painter, he lived for many years in Turin and was a follower of the school of Giuseppe Camino. Specialist in marine and mountain landscapes.
From 1871 to 1900 he participated in the exhibitions of the Promotrici companies of Genoa and Turin with a production of Piedmontese and Ligurian views (Le sponde della Dora, exhibited in Turin in 1884; Scogliera a Bergeggi Spotorno, exhibited in Genoa in 1893)It was flanked by floral and orientalist subjects (Interior of an Egyptian building, exhibited in Turin in 1871; Interior of a harem, exhibited in Turin in 1882), also made with tempera and watercolor, exhibited in Turin in 1882.
He participated in many exhibitions in Turin, including the General Exhibition of Italian Art in 1898 with the painting: Le mie rose.
From the beginning of the 20th century he did not take part in other artistic competitions.
