Léopold SURVAGE (1879 – 1968) - Architecture and Figure

Watercolour on pen stroke on paper representing cut architecture elements on a desert background; the whole is topped by the body of a character, flying in the airs, surrounded by two stars. This “key” composition, in the surrealistic manner, presents various motives of which, when combined, can reveal a secret meaning that can be interpreted in every possible way.
