An Etruscan revival gold ring set with an agate scarab.
The scarab is carved to its underside with an intaglio of a striding Sphinx.
Italian, c.1870.

The scarab measures 1.3 x 1cm.
The high carat gold shank is constructed from filigree and cannetille work and the bezel with twisted gold wire.
