Napoleon III cartel signed by Batlthazar in Paris

Sumptuous Régence style wall lamp signed "Balthazar à Paris".
The cartel we present has a rich ornamentation of gilded bronze representing the king of the gods Zeus, then Chronos, father of the hours and the four seasons. It rests on four claw feet and is decorated with two lions on the lower part. On either side of the cartel two caryatids complete the decoration. It is also provided with a rich Boulle marquetry in tortoise shell and engraved net.
Vast interior, also in Boulle marquetry as well as the back.
