Jacques Antoine Vallin (1760-1831) - Ecstasy

Vallin is an artist who illustrates himself in the neoclassical movement, especially with representations of nymphs and bacchantes. A student of Doyen, his painting is also marked by the influence of the landscape artist Jean Joseph Xavier Bidaud. His nude scenes, full of sensuality and voluptuousness, take place in luminous undergrowth settings.
