Pair of Louis XVI fire dogs in gilt bronze with irons.
Fire dogs decorated with fire pots adorned with handles flanked by satyr heads and flower garlands. These urns rest on a circular base with rudentate strigil. A second smaller base in the form of a fluted column surmounted by a pine cone is connected to the first by an openwork gallery with sunflower flower motifs. The whole is embellished with a scalloped laurel wreath.
These andirons are fitted with their original steel irons.
