Gold and garnet brooch, mid 19th century

This beautiful brooch consists of a first gold cartouche, with neo-Louis XV decoration, set with a large garnet cabochon, under it is suspended a tassel, set with a drop-shaped garnet, on either side of the brooch two small chains with openwork links, also set with small garnets, hold a second cartouche mounted with a drop-shaped garnet cabochon.
This important dates from the mid-nineteenth century, it has all the opulent charm of jewelry of that time.
Dimension of the brooch, high 9,7 cm, wide 3,2 cm. Size of the largest garnet 1.5 cm x 1.1 cm of the tassel 0.9 cm x 0.7 cm, and garnet of the bottom element 1.2 cm x 0.9 cm.
