Pair of large bronze candlesticks from the 17th century

Very beautiful models and exceptional pair of large bronze candlesticks resting on a tripod base.
The bases bear shells, medallions, angel heads, framed by volutes, and rest on claw feet.
The massive barrels are turned baluster, alternating floral and gadroon motifs. At the top, a large cup accommodates the pike.
The exceptional height and the weight of our candlesticks bear witness to the interest we had for beautiful objects in the 17th century.
This superb work of the bronze craftsman imposes by its power and its quality.
