Netsuke – Puppy lying on the carpet. Japan Edo 18th century

Attractive and lovely netsuke carved from ivory. A puppy lying on the carpet, with a decorated collar around its neck, and inlaid with a brown horn in its eyes. Beautiful work of the fur.
Length : 3,8 cm. Japan Edo (1603 - 1868) end of 18th, very early 19th century.

According to the new European regulations effective on January 18, 2022, the ivory trade is now subject to obtaining a CIC certificate (request in progress). Its export outside of the European Union is prohibited.
