Miniature representing Jama Masjid in Delhi

Oval-shaped miniature painted on ivory representing the Jama Masjid mosque in Delhi, this miniature is presented in a rectangular damascened steel frame inlaid with gold threads with rich decoration of palmettes, foliated scrolls decorated with winged lions. Rear easel for support. Presence of an inscription under the miniature and dated 1890. This miniature originally had a cut glass for protection. This set is presented in its original box covered with blue velvet and cream-colored silk interior (with a tear at the rear hinges) noted Almier Aurea 176 Lisboa. Presence of deformation on the box.
