This large blue-and-white porcelain covered jar features a continuous decoration extending around the entire body, depicting horsemen engaged in combat and pursuing one another against a landscape background.
The upper part of the neck is adorned with a floral frieze, a motif repeated on the lid, which is surmounted by a Foo dog.
We photographed the jar alongside two plates, each measuring 21 cm in diameter, to give an idea of the object's impressive size.
The vase is in perfect condition. However, the Foo dog on the lid was broken and reattached. The repair was carried out very neatly and is almost invisible.
China, 19th century.
Height: 75 cm.
