Offered by Emmanuel Redon Silver Fine Art
Silverware and Silversmith of the 19th and 20th centuries
An elegant 950/1000 silver tea and coffee set in the Art Deco style, signed Lapparra, comprising a coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, and milk jug.
The set features a striking architectural design with geometric lines and chamfered edges, characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic. The bodies—quadrangular in shape with subtly faceted corners—are topped by lids with concentric stepped tiers, finished with dark wood finials; the polygonal shape of these finials elegantly echoes the chamfered angles of the bodies.
The wooden handles and accents provide a contrast to the gleaming silver surface, while the spouts, with their clean, geometric lines, underscore the set's modernist character. The ensemble thus offers a beautiful interplay between the structured precision of the silver and the natural warmth of the wood.
The pieces bear the Minerva hallmark, guaranteeing a silver purity of 950/1000.
