This painting features a sensual, semi-nude female portrait in the Art Nouveau style. The author is the Hungarian artist Maria Szantho (1897–1998), who became famous for her refined, sensual portraits and nude paintings. She often combined Oriental motifs with a light touch of theatricality. This beautiful painting is one of her finest works. Signed in the lower left corner, the painting is in perfect condition.
