Exceptional Set of 18 Solid Silver Plates – Maison ODIOT and Léonard Vincelet – Coats of Arms of the de Montesquieu and Aucaigne de Sainte-Croix Families
A rare and prestigious set of 18 first-standard solid silver plates (950/1000), comprising:
13 plates by the renowned Maison Odiot, silversmith to the Imperial and Royal Courts.
5 plates by the silversmith Léonard Vincelet, of the same model, produced to complete the service.
Each plate is finely engraved with the combined coats of arms of the de Montesquieu family and the Aucaigne de Sainte-Croix family, indicating a commission made to celebrate the union of these two historic French noble families. The arms of the Aucaigne de Sainte-Croix family correspond to those recorded in historical armorials.
The quality of execution is exceptional, characteristic of the finest 19th-century productions of Maison Odiot.
Condition: Very good overall condition, with only very light surface scratches.

5 plates bearing the Léonard Vincelet mark.
