Large Meissen porcelain group with a jay on an oak trunk and insects such as a stag beetle and small butterflies (Eichelhäher mit Hirschkäfer). Model created by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1740. Marked with the blue crossed swords and numbered 1127. In very good condition, note restorations in some of the leaves and two small chips in the base, see photos.
