Offered by Emmanuel Redon Silver Fine Art
Silverware and Silversmith of the 19th and 20th centuries
A rare and spectacular solid silver vase, the work of Arrigo Finzi, a major figure in 20th-century Italian design.
With its perfectly balanced ovoid shape, this piece is distinguished by its three stylized ribbon handles, veritable sculptural signatures, whose taut, dynamic lines directly evoke the Futurist research of Antonio Sant'Elia.
The metalwork, subtly hammered and then polished, elegantly captures the light, creating a powerful presence that is both understated and resolutely modern.
Created in the 1930s, this “Sant’Elia” model embodies one of the most audacious moments in Italian silversmithing, at the crossroads of Art Deco and Futurism.
A rare, decorative, and highly sought-after piece, ideal for a design collection or a refined display. Dimensions: Height 33 cm – Neck diameter 23 cm – Base diameter: 12 cm

BIOGRAPHY: Arrigo Finzi (1890–1973), a major Milanese silversmith of the 20th century, founded his company in 1919 and developed an innovative style blending Italian tradition, Art Deco, and Futurist influences. A collaborator of the architect Antonio Sant’Elia, he created the “Sant’Elia” line in the 1930s, characterized by bold geometric forms. Winner of the Grand Prix of Brussels in 1935 and the only Italian silversmith selected for the “Italy at Work” exhibition in 1950, he established himself as an essential figure in modern silverware.
