Nevers: Faience figurine forming a zoomorphic pouring vessel in the shape of a recumbent cat, decorated in the a compendiario style in blue, ochre, and manganese on a white ground, inspired by the Italian productions of Faenza and Deruta.
Early 17th century.
The spout emerges from the cat’s mouth, and filling is done through an opening at the top of its head.
