Important Carrara marble bench, Italy 1800

This unique bench was crafted from an antique marble basin in the early 19th century. The relief decorations on all sides are of exceptional quality, and the griffins on the sides are carved in relief.
The basin is probably of Roman origin, and its conversion in the 19th century took place on the spot.
The side legs were made at that time.
