Opaline And Gilt Bronze Carmelite Melissa Water Bottle Cellar

Melissa  Carmelite water bottles.
They are made of opal crystal in the rare jade green color.
They feature a forget-me-not decoration by Jean-Baptiste Desvignes.
They are set in a gilt and patinated bronze mount.
The decoration is called "Cathedral" which was launched around 1818-1820, by the Duchess of Berry.
The Romantic period is distinguished by a very pronounced taste for the Gothic style.
This period follows the Troubadour movement.
The handles are twisted and raised.
