Jacques Alfred BRIELMAN (1836-1892) The washerwomen on the banks of the Grand Morin in Guérard (in 1874) oil on canvas 48x60cm He was a student of Eugène Lavieille and became a landscape painter of the Barbizon school. Brielman, who had a summer residence in Montbrieux (Guérard), painted the banks of the Marne and the Morin, from Montévrain to Guérard and different regions of France. He exhibited at the Salon from 1866 to 1891.
