Pair of 1st Empire style sconces in gilt bronze and brown patina with four arms of light. The sheath-shaped shaft depicts a winged woman resting on a globe and holding the light branches with her arms placed along the body. Ornamented with lion heads, mascarons, griffins and laurel leaves.
Very fine matte mercury gilding burnished to the original agate. The sconces have not been pierced for electricity in order to respect their period integrity.
