Located on piazza della Retonda , the Pantheon is a mythical monument of ancient Rome . A religious edifice built in the 1st century B.C., it was entirely rebuilt during Hadrian's reign, and was originally a temple dedicated to all Roman divinities. Pope Boniface IV converted it into a church in the 7th century.
The Pantheon supports the largest dome in all of Antiquity, with a diameter of 43.30 m (150 Roman feet), and remains the world's largest unreinforced cement dome.
