Big mahogany desk "all sides" with three drawers in front, ebony molding ; the top, sheathed in green leather, is supported by four large faceted legs. Magnificent ornamentation of finely chased and gilded bronze such as : keyhole entries with palmettes decoration, winged griffins, cornucopia and laurel crown ; in head of feet figures of fauns decorated with ivy leaves, rings and hooves. This piece is topped by a cardboard filled with six boxes and two small mahogany drawers. Marble top black granite. Two side pulls of 18 inches wide.
Parisian work Empire period early 19th century by the cabinetmaker Bernard MOLITOR (1755/1833) Master 26th of october 1787.
Size of the desk in inches : lenght 65 X depth 33 X height 30 / height with cardboard 45 inches.
