This pair of cassolettes features a removable lid forming a candlestick.
The feet are decorated with plant scrolls, the neck with griffin-headed twists and a seed-shaped handle. Fine chasing embellishes the details.
The merchant Daguerre supplied cassolettes of this model, notably for Versailles.
