Studied at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in Olivier Merson's studio.

He exhibited regularly at the Salon des artistes français.
At the 1889 Universal Exhibition, he received an honorable mention.
His touch is classical, with a mastery of drawing techniques and a mastery of light and shadow.

At times, he can surprise with more modern paintings, close to the Impressionist, Symbolist and Scandinavian school styles.
