Ceremonial armchair in walnut, Renaissance period

Elegant armchair in solid walnut from the Renaissance period with a high seat and resting on four legs joined by a square spacer whose front crosspiece is largely molded.
The front legs follow the shape of banded columns. The armrests and armrest consoles are finely carved with feathers of birds as well as the front crosspiece of the seat.
The backrest is slightly inclined and extends its uprights with a decor of carved palmettes.
Due to its sobriety, its perfect balance, the finesse of its decorations, this armchair testifies to the elegance of the beautiful ceremonial seats of the French Renaissance.
