Pair of Vases - Paul Dachsel Amphora ca. 1906 ivory porcelain ceramics marked

Pair of vases, Paul Dachsel, Amphora Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel, ca. 1906, ivory porcelain, marked

Paul Dachsel managed to elegantly capture the essence and philosophy of the Jugendstil movement with his creations. The artist preferred neutral colors, combined them with matte, opalescent glazes and relied on relief-like, coloraccentuated details.

Our pair of vases was designed by Paul Dachsel around 1906. It is representative of the oeuvre of this exceptional artist. The delicate opalescent dewdrops run down the trunks of a lush birch forest surrounded by golden light.

Marked with Paul Dachsel’s artist monogram “Turn Teplitz PD Made in Austria” and model number “1067”, “I”
