Cassone - 17th Century Italian Work

This cassone in painted and gilded wood has a carved decoration.
Its front face is adorned with a beautiful angel wearing a red veil which is the traditional color of Christ in religious iconography. The board in particular is magnificent. Entirely covered with fine engravings with stylized foliage, framing a central coat of arms with three bands and standing lion motif - called rampant.

The feet are also decorated with lion heads.
It is an Italian work from the 17th century.
The dimensions of this chest are 155 cm long, 60 cm deep and 68 cm high.
