PRESENTATION GALLERY : Philippe Delpierre
Founded in 1986 within the '' Carré Rive Gauche '', the gallery crossed the Seine in 2005, to take place, on the right bank, in the very heart of the Parisian art market, with the takeover of the '' Bonheur du Jour ' ', a house founded in 1898 by the Calvet family, at 10 rue Chauchat, Paris 9th. On two levels, in five salons decorated in the style of the French 18th century, the Philippe Delpierre gallery offers a selection of French and European furniture and works of art from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Rarity, originality, aesthetics, very high quality of workmanship, good state of conservation, are the qualities required by the furniture and works of art retained by Philippe Delpierre, in order to be presented in his gallery. Uncompromising in its choices, all acquisitions are geared towards the novelty of the piece of furniture or the object
We took advantage of the resumption of `` Bonheur du Jour '' to extend our activities to the creations and productions of the great cabinetmaking and bronze houses of the second half of the 19th century, and even to make forays into the beginning of the 20th century. . Tables from different French and foreign schools complete this set and are chosen with the same selection criteria.
