A table, inlaid on all sides, with veneer and marquetry of violet wood, satinwood, amaranth, ivory and ebony.
It rests on four cambered legs, the top forms draughts game framed with floral marquetry.
The base separates into two parts, thus supporting the top which opens in two parts to reveal a set of backgammon with ivory, stained ivory and ebony background, all centred with stylised flowers in frames.
Ornamentation of chased and gilded bronze.
