Henri Olive-Tamari was a French painter, engraver and poet. He is know for his landscapes, portraits and still lifes.

Born in La Seyne-sur-Mer in 1898, Henri Olive-Tamari fought in World War 1 then returned to Toulon where he worked at the art college under the guidance of painter and teacher Henri Matteo. In 1955 he was appointed head of the art college in Toulon. He was a versatile painter, producing work in the style of Delacroix and Courbet as well as rich still-lifes like those of Chardin and portraits in the Flemish manner. In stark contrast he showed abstract work at the Salon des Realites Nouvelles in Paris where he exhibited between 1949 to 1955.

He died in Toulon in 1980 and the city authorities held an exhibition devoted to Olive-Tamari in 1990.
