This four-light gilded bronze lantern was made in France in the early 20th century. The central element is circular with glass doors supported by a gilded bronze structure decorated with elements chiselled with bows that support cords ending with tassels. On the top are applied decorations in gilded bronze chiselled phytomorphic motifs. The lantern is supported by a central axis, at the base of which branch the four curved arms holding candle with bobéche chiselled with ornamented plants, and central pine cone element. Four gilded and chiselled bronze fittings with ornate leaves join harmoniously to the top from which the chain for anchoring to the ceiling is inserted.
The lantern is very decorative and the gilded bronze allows the lights to reverberate giving preciousness to the light. It can be placed in any room such as a study, a bathroom, a hall or a veranda. Graceful and refined, it can be combined with both antique and modern furnishings.
