Covered ordinary water pot and its oval basin in soft porcelain of Sevres with polychrome decoration of animated landscapes in reserves on yellow bottom Taillandier, gold net on the edges. Mounting of the lid in gilded metal.
The basin marked with two intertwined L's, without letter-date.
Circa 1770-1780. 18th century.
Height : 19,5 cm ; Width : 27,5 cm. A tiny chip restored on the edge of the lid.
Provenance : most probably from the collection of John Manners, third Duke of Rutland, member of the Order of the Garter in 1722.
Provenance label in the lid of the pot with the motto of the Order of the Garter under a ducal crown and the n°245.
