Biography :
Pierre-Marie Balny, known as Balny Jeune, had an important workshop and employed many workers. When he died, his widow kept the workshop, probably helped by her brother-in-law Balny Aîné until 1839, while waiting that her eldest son could take over the management under the name Balny Jeune again. Specialized in the manufacture of standard quality seats, he also produced more luxurious seats in mahogany and giltwood.
