Some large centers have produced these ceramics called "impressionist".
Haviland, Montigny sur Loing and Gien are among them, the pair of lamps that we offer is probably from one of these factories, but it is difficult to attribute them to one or the other with certainty, they may nevertheless be the work of Dominique Grenet who worked for these factories. The body is delicately painted in barbotine with a poetic decoration of flowers on a luminous sky-blue background, the bronze frame illustrates the taste for Japanese art in the second half of the 19th century. This pair of lamps, has been mounted with electricity.
Circa 1880. Height with lampshade 59 cm, height of the lamp alone 33 cm.
