The whole piece of furniture inlaid with flowers and garlands of flowers in reserves on a background of sycamore wood framed with rosewood.
Elegant chased and gilded bronze trimmings such as falls and keyholes with ribbon knots, sabots decorated with foliage.
Charles Topino : Born around 1735, he practiced for a long time as a free worker before being received as Master in 1773. Installed on rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine, he specialized in light furniture.
The marquetry which constitutes the principal attraction of his furniture are of two kinds, the still lifes of teapots, vases and various ustensils of Chinese taste very fashionable in the years 1770/ 1775 and the garlands and bouquets of flowers standing out on a light wood background, lemon tree or maple in the years 1775/1780
