Henry Dasson (1825-1896) was one of the most famous cabinet makers and bronze smiths of the second half of the 19th century. He was interested in old masterpieces, Louis XVI in particular. His furniture, luxuriously decorated with bronzes, marquetry and lacquer panels, attracted a rich international clientele and is now being rediscovered by 19th century enthusiasts.
