Paintings and Sculptures from the 16th to the 19th century
Rare small marble bust representing the goddess Juno, Italy, first half of the 18th century.
Juno is the most important of the goddesses of Rome, queen of the gods and protector of marriage and fertility. She is depicted with a small crown on her head and wavy hair gathered in braids that fall over her shoulders. Her figure is as imposing as her role as queen of the gods wants it to be. Very good state of conservation.
