Edgar Farasyn was a Belgian painter, who specialized in seascapes, landscapes, genre scenes and interior portraits. He initially focused on painting children, of which this painting is a fine example.
There are three children depicted here, who are playing in an artists studio. Several canvases can be seen, along with a painters easel, a painter's palette and a small sculpture of a woman.
