Furniture and Works of Art from the 17th, 18th and early 19th century
A Pair of candélabra with four lights of gilt an patinated bronze, each
cast as a female figure draped in the Antique style of patinated bronze holding
up a chased gilt-bronze “Athénienne” (classical tripods) ending in four lights
candleholders and decorated with flames, rinceaux, foliages and snouts of lion.
The figures stand on a cylindrical blue turquin marble base, enhanced with a
gilt-bronze frieze, resting on a circular white marble and a square ormolu
pedestal.
