Pair of Louis XVI Gilted bronze andirons

Andirons decorated with pot-à-feu decorated with handles flanked by heads of satyrs and flower garlands. These urns rest on a circular base with roughened strigilate grooves. A second smaller base in the shape of a fluted column surmounted by a pine cone is connected to the first by an openwork gallery with sunflower flower motifs. The whole is embellished with a scalloped laurel wreath.

These andirons are fitted with their original steel irons.
